Job Description
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Atwood Wellness Center - Bel Air, MD Atwood Wellness Center is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our compassionate, collaborative veterinary team. This position is ideal for an RVT who enjoys variety in their day, values teamwork, and takes pride in providing high-quality patient care across all areas of the hospital. Key Responsibilities Assist in exam rooms , including: Patient restraint and handling Client education Collecting samples (blood, urine, fecals) Assist with surgical procedures , including: Patient preparation Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgical recovery and post-operative care Support treatment room technicians , including: Advanced nursing care for hospitalized patients IV catheter placement and fluid therapy Radiographs (x-rays) Medication administration as directed Maintain accurate medical records Help ensure a clean, organized, and efficient treatment and surgical environment Collaborate closely with doctors, technicians, assistants, and front-end staff Qualifications Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (or eligible to transfer) Prior clinical veterinary experience preferred Strong technical skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented, reliable, and compassionate Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes Why Atwood Wellness Center?
