Job Description

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our family of upbeat and caring professionals. Applicants should have enthusiastic energy, a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and have a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Experience is preferred. Responsibilities:
Triaging patients and taking their vitals and acquiring patient history and other information from clients. Safely handling and restraining animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and other exotics. Filling prescriptions and handling vaccines/injectable medications Acquiring cephalic, saphenous, and jugular blood samples. Inserting IV catheters and fluid therapy Monitoring anesthesia Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories. Preparing animals and equipment for surgical procedures Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian Performing radiographs Entering patients' service charges into the computer database and keeping accurate patient records Explaining patient instructions to clients and sharing educational materials Displays great customer service attributes and client communication
