Job Description

Veterinary Technician desired for a busy, well established Veterinary Hospital. Licensed or experienced tech preferred but willing to train the right candidate. 40H work week, M-F 8-5 with 1 hour off for lunch We are a mixed practice with a patient load including small animals, exotic pets/small mammals and small ruminants; therefore an interest and experience with multiple species is desired. We strive to practice progressive medicine with a personal touch. We have an in house lab, digital microscope, Imagist, digital radiology and dental radiology, and ultrasound. Strong communication skills, compassionate care and an ability to work with the team is expected in the ideal candidate. Duties to include but are not limited to: assisting doctor in office visits, procedures and surgery, client relations, placing iv's, venipuncture, conducting labwork, patient anesthetic monitoring, radiology, dental radiology and dental prophys, surgical prep and assistance, light kennel work. Benefits including health/dental (full payment of monthly premiums), matching 401K, PTO and CE. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow is encouraged. Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs and assist clients with their pets is expected. Experience in dental radiology is desired but not required.
