You'll work side-by-side with skilled veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and kennel technicians in an environment that values collaboration, growth, and compassion—for both patients and each other. What You'll Be Doing As an Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician in our ER, you will: Confidently place IV catheters Draw blood, perform cystocentesis, and run diagnostics Provide hands-on care and monitoring for hospitalized and critical patients Provide treatments and run procedures for both outpatient and inpatients Intubate and perform anesthesia monitoring in and out of an operating room Provide life-saving blood transfusions and transfusion monitoring Care for patients in oxygen chambers Assist DVM with thoracocentesis, pericadiocentesis, and abdominocentesis Assist DVM with gastric lavage Place nasogastric tubes and maintain them through the patient stay Run the floor as a doctor director, aiding in DVM procedures and case load What We're Looking For Minimum of 2 years as an LVT (emergency or specialty experience preferred) Confidence in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws Strong skills in anesthesia monitoring and trouble shooting equipment Strong patient handling and restraint skills Ability to train veterinary assistants and kennel techs Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations Ability to participate in an overnight shift rotation What We Offer ✨ A supportive and experienced emergency team ✨ Meaningful, hands-on work every shift ✨ Opportunities to grow your skills in emergency medicine ✨ A hospital culture built on teamwork, respect, and compassion ✨ Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance ✨ Competitive pay plus shift differential for late nights and overnight shifts ✨ Uniform and continuing education allowance ✨ 401K with generous match program ✨ Paid working holidays, paid time off, and additional sick pay If you're passionate about patient care and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference when it matters most, Animal Emergency Hospital is the place for you .
