Oncology LVT Animal Cancer & Imaging Center Canton, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Continuing education credits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Uniform allowance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Veterinary Technician Certification Animal catheterization Math Full Job Description The Animal Cancer & Imaging Center in Canton is looking for a licensed veterinary technician to join our medical oncology team. We are specifically seeking LVTs that have a passion for providing excellent care to our clients and patients. Our facility offers the highest quality of oncology care and technicians work with a board-certified oncologist. Interested candidates should be well organized, work well as a team and individually, be enthusiastic, have great written & verbal communication skills, and be dedicated to patient care. Medical oncology technician responsibilities include but are not limited to; assisting our oncologist with diagnostic procedures, interacting with clients, acquiring in-depth medical histories, phlebotomy, working with in house diagnostic machines, placing IV catheters, preparing, calculating and administering chemotherapy drugs, anesthetic induction/ monitoring/assisting with biopsies, radiation patients and CT scans, strong mathematical skills, obtaining radiographs, the ability to multi-task, client education, and patient care. Specific experience with oncology is not required but instead, a desire to learn and work together with a team. The medical oncology team's work week is Tuesday through Friday 9am to 6pm with no weekend hours required. Candidates must be LVT, CVT, or RVT with at least 4 years experience with credentials.
