This is a full time position that requires the LVT to be available Tuesday and Wednesday 8a-8p, Thursday and Friday 9a-5p. We are specifically seeking LVTs with an interest in surgery and that have a passion for providing excellent care to our clients and patients. Our facility offers the highest quality of patient care where LVTs work alongside a board certified surgeon. Interested candidates should be well organized, be able to multi-task, work well as a team and individually, detail oriented, strong mathematical skills, have great written & verbal communication skills, and be dedicated to patient care. Surgical technician responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • patient restraint/handling
  • anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery
  • ventilator use
  • scrub assistant
  • patient care (pre and post op)
  • IV catheter placement
  • central line placement and care
  • acquiring in-depth medical histories
  • interacting with clients / client education
  • communicating with referring veterinarians
  • submitting samples to outside diagnostic laboratories
  • use of in house diagnostic machines The surgery team works Tuesday through Friday with no weekend or holiday hours required.
This is a full time position.
Hours are:
Tues and Wed 8a-8p, Thurs 9a-5p, Fri 9a-5p This position requires the candidate to cross train in anesthesia, surgery and patient care. LVT, CVT, or RVT with at least 4 years with their credentials and 4 years of anesthesia and surgical experience. Starting salary is determined by a skill assessment system.
