Compassionately and professionally communicate with clients concerning their pet's needs and the pet parent's concerns Educate and communicate with clients concerning the importance of spay/neuter, well care, and parasite prevention Perform venipuncture, in-house cytology (ears, fecals, urinalysis), vaccinations, microchipping, nail trims and other preventive care services Utilize low stress handling techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort Accurately document medical records (we use eVet software) Maintain a clean and organized clinic environmentWHO THRIVES HERE
You are a strong fit if you: Are an experienced veterinary technician Energized by high volume work and willing to work at a fast pace Can lift 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day Are compassionate and empathetic to both animals and the people who love them Believe affordable spay/neuter is essential to ending pet homelessness and promoting wellness This role is ideal for someone who wants their work to matter far beyond the clinic.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Part-Time (Detroit) $16 to $25 per hour based on experience, veterinary technician licensing status and ability to speak both Spanish and English.
