This position involves assisting with medical procedures, patient monitoring, client communication, and maintaining a clean, efficient hospital environment. Veterinary Technicians serve as a key link between the doctor, patient, and client.
- Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Nursing Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures Obtain and record patient histories, vitals, and weights Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes promptly Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Provide compassionate care to all patients Surgical & Dental Support Prepare patients for surgery (IV catheter placement, pre-medication, etc.
- Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary setting required Strong knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and basic nursing care Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical Requirements Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes Comfort standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks Ability to handle exposure to animals, chemicals, and medical equipment
