Job Description

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) - Part-Time Overnight Anoka Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. This is a part-time position averaging 30 hours every other week, with a consistent Thursday-Saturday overnight schedule. As a member of our experienced veterinary team, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality medical and emergency care to our equine patients. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, working closely with veterinarians, and being part of a collaborative emergency and referral hospital. Primary Duties Primary responsibilities will focus on direct patient care and collaboration with our veterinarians, including: Performing and documenting physical examinations and patient assessments Administering IV, IM and oral medications and treatments Monitoring IV fluid administration Performing laboratory testing and processing samples Providing care and monitoring for hospitalized and emergency patients Assisting with emergency appointments and surgical procedures Communicating directly with veterinarians regarding patient status, treatment plans, and changes in condition Safely handling and restraining horses Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation Supporting the veterinary team in providing efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Hold an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program Be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing Have strong equine handling skills and experience working safely with horses Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Possess a strong work ethic and ability to work independently Communicate effectively with veterinarians and other members of the veterinary team Be comfortable working overnight hours in a fast-paced emergency and referral environment New graduates are encouraged to apply. Schedule & Compensation Part-time:
