Job Description

We are looking for a medically skilled, detail-oriented applicant who is compassionate, up-beat and driven to join our amazing team as a Certified Veterinary Technician. We are looking for someone who is a self starter and enjoys a fast-paced environment. Our staff focuses on client education and preventative medicine. Skilled, critical thinking and the ability to anticipate are essential to help ensure the best patient care and client service is met. We are an AAHA accredited clinic, which practices high quality team-based care while providing exceptional client service. LFPC was opened in 2017 and is locally owned and operated. Our clinic focuses on providing both excellent veterinary care and client service. We focus on team-based care and a strong team culture. We value our employees and believe they are essential to achieving these goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Effective client communication and education Obtaining patient histories and processing payments for services and products Provide safe and effective handling and restraint Phlebotomy Collect and prepare diagnostic samples Reading lab sample and processing samples for reference labs Nursing care for hospitalized patient Anesthesia monitoring Dental charting and cleaning Be able to accurately position for digital radiographs Basic Husbandry Clear Communication with doctors and support staff Assist in maintaining practice equipment
Requirements:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology from an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA

  • Required Certification Required 1-year veterinary experience preferred, but open to new graduates Foster collaborative relationships with other team members Be able to work in a professional and positive manner with attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
Must be an effective communicator among team members and contribute to a harmonious workplace Must be able to accurately enter data into computer system and have basic math and money handling skills. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds unassisted. Endure sitting, standing, and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended period Schedule Clinic is open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday; and 8am to 1pm Saturdays Full-Time employees are scheduled for 4 weekdays per week, and 2 Saturdays per month Benefits (Full-Time Employees
