Job Description

Animal Haven is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a busy, two doctor small animal practice that focuses on customer service and thrives on genuine compassion for animals and their owners. The ideal candidate should be team oriented, able to multitask, have strong communication and technical skills or a willingness to learn. Hours are 7:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Candidates interested in PT and FT should apply. We offer competitive hourly rates based on experience, paid licenses and CE, paid vacation & paid holidays (FT) and pet discounts. Responsibilities Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal anatomy. Handle and restrain animals safely, employing proper techniques for catheterization and other treatments. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans. Support kennel operations and assist with dental care and laboratory tasks as needed. Qualifications Veterinary technician experience Strong animal handling and restraint skills Proficient in veterinary terminology and animal physiology Experience with animal catheterization and pet care Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members Knowledge of dental terminology and veterinary critical care is a plus Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equine care is beneficial
