  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team.
In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support in delivering high-quality animal care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our furry patients. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient clinic operations, promote pet well-being, and enhance client satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals and develop your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining sterile conditions using aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during treatments or examinations. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, medications, and laboratory results with precision and clarity. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian while monitoring animal responses. Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, and cleaning kennels to promote animal comfort and hygiene. Take radiographs (X-ray) imaging to assist in diagnosing injuries or illnesses; ensure proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing basic dental cleanings or preparations. Handles small animals such as dogs and cats, ensuring proper animal husbandry practices are followed. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by sterilizing instruments, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control standards. Experience Previous veterinary technician experience is required, demonstrating proficiency in animal handling, restraint techniques, and clinical procedures. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and veterinary critical care practices is essential. Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis enhances diagnostic support capabilities. Previous experience in surgical assistance; including catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery and dental x-ray operation.
