In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical care, perform a variety of clinical procedures, and ensure a compassionate environment for every animal that walks through our doors. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us maintain the highest standards of veterinary excellence while fostering a positive experience for our clients and their beloved pets. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed with precision. Perform animal restraint and handling using humane techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document procedures clearly and accurately. Support pet care activities including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring animal behavior and physiology. Manage kennel duties by cleaning, feeding, and caring for hospitalized animals to promote recovery and comfort. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting oral health treatments. Handle animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and other critical care procedures with skillful precision. Scheduling appointments and answering client questions via phone Experience Previous kennel experience or animal handling background demonstrating comfort working with various animals. Hands-on veterinary technician experience or related roles supporting clinical operations in veterinary settings. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices including emergency response protocols. Laboratory experience involving sample processing or diagnostic testing is highly desirable.
