We have 10 hour shifts available Monday-Friday, currently no weekends. Minimum of 2 years experience in a veterinary clinic, RVT preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for our a team member to have skills in Fear Free animal handling and excellent forms of communication skills as we use many forms to talk to our clients. We are looking for a confident team member that has skills in many aspects of the position. On a daily basis, our technicians are responsible for: Collection of samples for lab tests (blood, urine and stool), we use Idexx for in house and reference lab testing Patient care for in hospital patients. Administering medications (oral or injection), IV catheter and fluid care, monitoring and recording notes Assisting the doctor and/or RVT in anesthetic procedures. Monitoring surgery, placing IV catheters, administering pre-operative medications, post-operative monitoring and care. Record keeping in Ezyvet practice management software. Assisting the doctor in the exam rooms for exams. Retrieving a history from the owner and discussing the treatments or vaccines needed for todays visit. You will be responsible for client communications of reporting test results, calling for medication pick ups, answering phones and making appointments.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Certificates & Licenses Prefer Certified or Registered Veterinary Technician but not required Other Requirements Ability to multi-task, prioritize, follow directions and learn new material in a highly physical environment. Ability to practice safe/proper practices with radiography, anesthesia, sterilization, isolation and potentially zoonotic animals. Training of new or lesser skilled staff as required by supervisor.
