Veterinary Technician

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, dependable, and team player to fill the position of veterinary technician. Our technicians are utilized to their fullest potential, and this is not an assistant position. Our practice is progressive, patient centered and fast paced. Applicant must have extensive experience in the field and be competent in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, restraint, injections, radiology, and dental cleanings/radiology. Candidate should work well with others, have strong communication skills, working knowledge of drugs and preventions, and positive attitude. Schedule includes 4 weekdays and no weekends . We are looking for someone that wants to be a part of our team long term and wants to grow in the field. Pay is related to experience and benefits are available with time worked. Drug testing is required and we are a smoke-free facility. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to animals by utilizing technical skills, performing diagnostic testing, administering medications and injections, monitoring anesthesia, performing diagnostic imaging, and utilizing your skills to the fullest. Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures, ensuring proper animal handling and restraint. Educating clients on how to maintain optimal care for their pets with routine care, preventions, and wellness testing. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health. Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology to support diagnostic and treatment processes. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff, adhering to all safety protocols.
