Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Veterinary ICU Staff is responsible for creating relationships with clients while ensuring the patients receive the best medical care while hospitalized in the ICU. As an integral part of the company, the ICU staff is responsible for communicating with the doctors about the patients in our care and working closely with the doctor to carry out necessary treatments. The positions are responsible for maintaining key performance indicators and have a clear intention to improve their personal, professional and financial goals. The role of a Veterinary Technician/Assistant will be skilled in medical terminology, client communication, be inspiring to others and have the patient's best interest in mind.PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Creates/maintains a high level of trust with our clients on all aspects of their pet care Assists doctors with client communication and education Represents the company with high regard and respect by following our core values Able to work well with the other staff as well as individually Follows the protocols set forth by management Self-motivated and takes initiative We are looking for friendly faces with positive attitudes that are willing to learn and grow as a team playerPlease Note:
Hours for this position are 4pm-2am. Rotation is 7 days on/7days off. Able to work some holidays and weekends.GENERAL CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES
Understands veterinary medical terminology and common veterinary medical conditions Ability to stay calm when faced with emotionally challenging situations Ability to converse with clients in a professional manner Maintain a drug-free and smoke-free environment Ability to stay on task without direct supervision Punctuality is a must Basic veterinary technician skills including but not limited to: Restraint Medication administration Vaccination protocol Venipuncture/Catheter placement is plus but not requiredBENEFITS INCLUDE

Prolonged periods of standing/bending/lifting Ability to lift 50 poundsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
