Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical procedures including anesthesia administration, surgical assistance, and diagnostic imaging such as radiology and X-ray procedures. Perform animal handling and restraint using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, phlebotomy, and sample processing for diagnostic testing. Manage animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and monitoring recovery in critical and intensive care units. Administer medications accurately via various routes including IV insertion and catheterization while maintaining aseptic techniques. Operate veterinary medical equipment such as anesthesia monitors, radiology machines, and laboratory analyzers with proficiency. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs to promote pet health and owner satisfaction. Skills Proven experience with kennel management, dog handling, animal restraint, and general animal husbandry practices. Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine protocols. Hands-on experience with veterinary critical care, anesthesia monitoring, IV insertion, vascular access, and veterinary surgical assistance. Familiarity with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology techniques such as X-ray imaging. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate pet care guidance. Knowledge of veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling. $18.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
