Job Position Information Job Description:
The Veterinary Technology program at North Dakota State University is seeking to fill a 9-month, non-tenure track teaching position. The Veterinary Technology program at NDSU is one of the 20+ programs accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association - Committee for Veterinary Technology and Education Activities that grants a 4-year, B.S. degree. The program was established in 1976 and has a strong reputation as a leader in the education of the next generation of veterinary technologists. Those interested in the position would be expected to: Teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses within the Veterinary Technology program and the Department of Animal Sciences Develop educational materials pertaining to all aspects of veterinary technology Provide academic advising for undergraduate students and mentorship to student clubs Model a high level of veterinary care and professionalism Serve on committees for the department, college, and/or university Work as a part of a team to provide optimal instruction to students Ability to complete a master's level degree program Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science level degree- any field of study Graduate of an AVMA- accredited Veterinary Technology Program; 2 or 4 year programs accepted Licensed Veterinary Technician/Technologist or currently eligible for licensure in North Dakota Ability to complete a master's level degree program Three years of clinical practice experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to effectively use veterinary practice management software and common Microsoft Office software programs Ability to operate veterinary instrumentation (e.g. blood analysis instruments) Physical ability to perform duties of a veterinary technician

Preferred qualifications:
M.S. degree More than 3 years clinical practice experience Previous teaching experience; formal or informal Experience and ability to work or learn to work with various animal species Experience or demonstrated ability to develop creative, effective methods of teaching
