Job Description

Perform diagnostic tests such as CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, radiographs, and dental cleanings. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. Assist in surgery, including preparing animals, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care. Observe and record animal behavior, vital signs, and clinical symptoms. Collect and prepare samples (blood, urine, feces) for laboratory analysis. Restrain animals safely during exams and procedures. Provide routine nursing care such as feeding, grooming, and monitoring recovery. Explain medical conditions, treatment plans, and home‑care instructions to pet owners. Educate clients on nutrition, behavior, and preventive care. Maintain patient records and controlled drug inventories. Manage equipment sterilization, maintenance, and supply inventory. Assist with practice operations, including occasional receptionist duties.
