Veterinary Room Technician Full-Time Opportunities | Rochester & Dover, New Hampshire Some jobs in veterinary medicine are a stepping stone. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with patients, support veterinarians and credentialed technicians, and help guide clients through some of the most important moments in their pets' lives. Responsibilities may include:
Providing compassionate, attentive patient care Recording patient histories, weights, and medical information Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures Safely restraining patients during exams and treatments Assisting with blood draws, vaccinations, nail trims, and routine treatments Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas Filling prescriptions and coordinating follow-up care Assisting with laboratory diagnostics and imaging Monitoring hospitalized patients Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a busy hospital environment. Required Qualifications To be considered for this position, applicants must have: High school diploma or GED Customer service experience AND experience in at least one of the following: Veterinary hospital Animal shelter or rescue Doggy daycare or boarding kennel Grooming salon Other professional animal care environment What We're Looking For Successful candidates are: Compassionate and patient with both people and animals Dependable and eager to learn Strong communicators who enjoy working with clients Organized and able to multitask effectively Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Positive, professional, and team focused No Veterinary Technical Experience?
