Schedule:
Typically a 4-day work week Alternating Saturdays required Sunday off
Compensation:
Veterinary Assistant:
$23-25/hr based on experience + $1,000

PM Sunday:
Closed Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing instruments, administering anesthesia, and monitoring vital signs. Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during treatments and examinations. Conduct laboratory tests. Maintain detailed medical records, including vaccination histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results. Take x-ray images while adhering radiation safety protocols. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing pet dental x-rays and cleanings under veterinarian supervision. Qualifications Previous veterinary technician experience or related animal care background is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology. Familiarity with laboratory techniques, X-ray procedures, aseptic technique, and animal restraint methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members effectively. Knowledge of dental terminology and experience assisting with dental procedures is a plus.
Pay:
$23.00•$25.00 per hour
