Veterinary Technician - Full-Time American Animal Hospital | Randolph, NJ Randolph, NJ Flexible Scheduling Available |
Full-Time & Part-Time Openings Hourly Pay:
$18-$26 based on experience An established multi-doctor veterinary practice in Randolph is looking to add an experienced Veterinary Technician to its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality patient care while working in a collaborative and supportive hospital environment. We are seeking a technician who is dependable, compassionate, and confident in both technical skills and client communication. About the Hospital This long-standing small animal practice has served the local community for decades and is committed to providing comprehensive veterinary care in a welcoming, low-stress environment. The hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical services and utilizes modern diagnostic equipment to support high-quality patient care. Services & Equipment Digital and dental radiography In-house laboratory equipment Ultrasound capabilities Surgical and dental suites Therapeutic laser services Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, dental procedures, and treatments Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures Collect blood and laboratory samples for in-house and reference testing Place IV catheters and administer medications as directed Obtain diagnostic radiographs, including dental imaging Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Support clients with education, discharge instructions, and patient updates Help maintain efficient daily workflow throughout the hospital Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary technician or veterinary nursing role preferred Comfortable with venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and patient restraint Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional and compassionate communication style Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment Team-focused attitude with a passion for patient care Availability for rotating weekend shifts preferred Perks & Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO and holiday pay Continuing education and professional development support Leadership growth and advancement opportunities Annual scrub allowance Employee pet care discounts 401(k) with employer match Ready to take the next step?
