Full Job Description Veterinary Technician Salary:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position with the following typical hours. The schedule includes four weekday shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM,10:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Availability every Saturday is required. Tenafly Veterinary Center is hiring full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery. Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion. Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing. Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of veterinary experience required. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions. Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
