VACANCY INFORMATION
This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible position. This position does not qualify for employer-paid benefits, paid time off, wage increases, or union representation This position requires enrollment in the City's Alternate Retirement Systems (ARS) Work schedule will consist of an average of 19 hours/week. Hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department need May be required to work a flexible work schedule, outside of normal business hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours The physical work location is the Henderson Animal Protection Facility located at 300 E Galleria Drive, Henderson, NV, 89011 Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Veterinary Technology or closely related field Three (3) years of direct experience working with and conducting health checks on animals Must possess and maintain a Veterinary Technician License with the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners at time of application Must possess and maintain a Euthanasia Technician License with the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners within six (6) months of the date of hire Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483 All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained as a condition of continued employment and at the incumbents' expenseDesirable:
