Job Description
All Creatures is looking for a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fast paced team. Our veterinary office offers the highest standard of care for birds, dogs, cats, and exotics. We are looking for someone who values both people and animals, has a sense of humor, understands our customers' priorities, and looks out for the other members of our crew. The primary functions of this position include: Provides care to patients according to hospital standards Calculates basic medical math Accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort Administers medications via appropriate routes and duration Performs phlebotomy Ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters Intubates patients Runs in-house labs Possesses a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment Other duties as assigned
