Veterinary Technician (Anesthesia/Surgery Focus)

Unique opportunity for a Veterinary Technician with interest in surgery (HQHVSN) in Hudson Falls, NY. Full or Part time position with schedule of either a 3 or 4 day work week available Monday through Thursday. Previous veterinary experience (traditional or spay/neuter) required. Ability/willingness to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include patient exams and assessments, surgery prep, induction, anesthesia monitoring, post surgical recovery, administration of medications/patient treatments, medication handling, client communication, computer skills/record management, etc. Must be able to multi-task and think on your feet when needed. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised a plus. Successful candidates must be timely, focused, caring and interested in providing high quality veterinary care. Clinic hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm. Current certification/licensing preferred, but willing to consider experienced candidates. Interested applicants will be required to demonstrate competency prior to hire, however some on site training is available.
