Veterinary Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a desire to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments Perform procedures such as blood draws, sample collection, place IV catheters, radiographs, surgery prep, intubate patients and monitor anesthesia Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic or hospital Provide care for animals in clinic Monitor animals pre and post-surgery or treatment Assist with digital record keeping Administer medications and other treatments where appropriate Utilize knowledge of veterinary critical care to support emergency cases Interact with clients both in person and on the phone Experience Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician, or in a related field is required Knowledge of animal handling techniques and animal restraint methods Familiarity with laboratory procedures in a veterinary setting is a plus Excellent computer skills are a must Well organized and able to multi-task ideal
