In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care and support for our patients while collaborating closely with our veterinarian and pet owners. Our full service outpatient clinic has been providing chemotherapy services to Long Island pet parents for nineteen years, as well as providing routine wellness care and outpatient surgery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals battling cancer while utilizing your veterinary expertise and love for animal care to promote healing and comfort. Qualifications Valid license as a Veterinary Technician with experience in veterinary medicine, ideally with a focus on critical care or oncology. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and medical procedures. Experience handling dogs and cats confidently using animal restraint techniques. Proficiency in IV catheterization and phlebotomy. Surgical experience is not a must but certainly a plus!
