Job Description
Work with a caring and supportive group of managers!! Monday through Friday 10am-6pm with flexibility and on call responsibilities.
Job Summary:
Oversees the day to day operation of the residence in accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policy and quality program standards. Encourages the development of independence, individualization, integration and productivity of each resident.Essential Functions:
Residential setting designed to serve mentally-physically-challenged residents/community settings. Supervises residence staff. Ensures appropriate staffing by developing monthly staff schedules, monitors employee designated work schedules for overage and enforces Over Time and Maximum Work Hour policies. Maintains effective communication and relationship with staff, families, outside agencies and other providers. Ensures adherence to department/agency policy and procedure as they relate to daily activity. Corresponds with service coordinator as needed; keeps them apprised of significant issues. Participates in hiring, promotion and termination process. Evaluates staff performance on a periodic basis. Initiate progressive discipline and performance improvement plans. Conducts staff meetings, and counsel meetings for individuals, as appropriate, monthly. Ensures that individuals' medical needs are met in conjunction with program nurse and Medical Caseworker. Ensures maintenance and household needs are met in a timely fashion. Participates in the development and implementation of ISP/CFA in conjunction with the service coordinator. Develops and implements habilitative/active treatment goals and completes corresponding paperwork to ensure needs are addressed appropriately including timely data collection. On call via rotating beeper for emergencies and crisis intervention 24 hrs. a day.Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma/equivalent one to two years experience with ID/DD population required. one year in supervisory capacity required BA Degree and two years supervisory experience preferred. Maintain valid NYS Driver's License within agency criteria.Benefits:
