Veterinary Technician - Rock Hill, NY (Flagship Location) Join the Heart of Our Growing Veterinary Network Catskill Veterinary Services is looking for dedicated, skilled Veterinary Technicians to join our team at our flagship hospital in Rock Hill, NY —the center of our soon-to-be three-hospital network . Founded in 2012 as a mobile veterinary practice, Catskill Veterinary Services has grown into a trusted provider of high-quality, compassionate care across Sullivan, Orange, and Ulster Counties. Our state-of-the-art hospital at 230 Rock Hill Drive has served as our home base since 2017 and continues to lead the way as we expand to Middletown and Newburgh. At Catskill Veterinary Services, you'll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values your growth, skills, and well-being. Primary Responsibilities As a veterinary technician, you'll assist our doctors in delivering outstanding care through: Inducing and monitoring anesthesia Dental cleanings and full-mouth digital radiographs Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Management of CRIs and fluid therapy Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, cultures) Performing technician appointments (vaccinations, laser therapy, blood draws, etc.) Client communication for intakes, discharges, and education Handling in-patient care and ICU cases Assisting with nerve blocks and surgical prep Operating advanced imaging systems, including HDVI CT Supporting diagnostic imaging via ultrasound and radiology Qualifications NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing AAS in Veterinary Technology (minimum requirement) Proficiency in anesthesia, dentistry, and patient care Ability to lift 60 lbs and handle a variety of species Effective communicator and team player Compassionate approach to patient advocacy, including end-of-life care Experience with exotics, equine, or farm animals is a plus Rock Hill Hospital Highlights Our flagship location is a 3,500 sq ft modern facility equipped with: Six exam rooms and a fully digital record system (Ezyvet) and digital treatment sheets (Ezyvet) Dedicated surgery and dental suites with digital imaging Comprehensive in-house IDEXX lab (CBC/Chem/Coag/Snap Pro/UA/Sedi-View) Radiology suite with DR system Doppler BP, Tonovet, ECG monitors (portable and stationary) Multiple ultrasound units for advanced diagnostics HDVI CT scanner for high-definition imaging Telemedicine consultation capability Schedule We are open 7 days a week , offering both general and urgent care services with extended evening hours. Full-time and part-time schedules available.
