We are a small animal exclusive private practice searching for a registered veterinary nurse to join our team! We take time to listen to our clients' needs and concerns, and have built a wonderful client base as a result. We have a zero-tolerance policy for aggressive client behavior, and equip our employees with the communication tools to navigate client interactions. Our clinics are equipped with dental radiography, CO2 laser, ultrasound machine, and in-house blood machines to complement the standard foundational diagnostic equipment. Staff/Doctor ratio is 3:1 or more on any given work day. Our team members are encouraged to engage in the work they've been trained to do. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Communication with clients and maintaining patient medical records Assist with patient examinations/care including administering SQ or IM vaccines and/or medications Assist with emergency procedures and follow emergency treatment protocol Assist with laboratory procedures including collection, preparing and diagnostics Diagnostic imaging Assisting DVM with surgical procedures Monitor anesthesia during procedures Proper animal restraint Phlebotomy Place and care of IV catheters Assist with patient recovery and client education Perform proper dental techniques including scaling, polishing and imaging Who you are: State Registered Veterinary Technician license (preferred) 2+ year veterinary experience (preferred) Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills
