Rocky River Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and caring Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Fear Free practice. Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications Perform laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic procedures as needed Utilize Fear Free techniques to minimize stress and anxiety in patients Maintain accurate medical records and client communications using Ezy Vet software Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and post-treatment care Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols within the hospital

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The technician must be able to multi-task. They must be able to think quickly on their feet. They must be able to develop positive working relationships with clients and co-workers.

Skills:

Perform dental cleanings, charting teeth abnormalities Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgical preparation intravenous catheter placement Vaccination administration Venipuncture In-house lab IDEXX Filling prescriptions Our new Team Member must work well with others as well as independently, take initiative and thrive in a busy work environment

Education/Experience:
