The Veterinary Emergency Referral Center is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) or highly skilled veterinary professionals to join our dynamic emergency team. In this fast-paced environment, you'll play a critical role in delivering life-saving care to critically ill and injured animals. Responsibilities include patient triage, assisting with emergency procedures and diagnostics, administering treatments, and supporting pet owners with empathy and professionalism. While experience in emergency or critical care is preferred, what matters most is your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow, act quickly, work accurately, and provide compassionate care under pressure. Qualifications:
Efficient, adaptable team player in a fast-paced emergency setting Clear, compassionate communicator with clients and team members Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with attention to detail Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities High integrity with commitment to ethics, accountability, and confidentiality Proficient in veterinary terminology and medical math Emergency Veterinary Technician duties include but are not limited to : In-patient and out-patient management of stable and critical cases Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, maintenance, and troubleshooting Perform in-house diagnostic testing (blood work, UA, fecals, cytology), assist with digital imaging procedures such as radiography (X-ray) and ultrasound Anesthesia skills: induction, intubation, sterile prep, monitoring, and troubleshooting Clear, effective communication with clients, veterinarians, and team members Strong multitasking and patient prioritization in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Many of these tasks will be required throughout the majority of each shift. Able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch Able to talk, hear, smell, and use hands/fingers to hold/feel Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently Able to lift over 50 lbs with assistance Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Compensation :
Determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skill and experience. Shift differential available for overnight shifts.
