Primary Responsibilities:
Team Support:
Work closely with the veterinarian to anticipate their needs with appointments, patient assessment (vital signs, presenting complaint), medical care, perform diagnostics, venipuncture, surgical patient management, maintain medical records, patient restraint, and maintenance of medical records, patient invoices and estimates, care for hospitalized, boarding, and daycare patients. Training of staff based on their level of employment. They will also be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation of the hospital. Based on leadership levels additional duties may be added. •
Communication:
Have clear, concise, and empathic communication with the veterinarians, other hospital personnel, and clients to ensure that patients receive exceptional care. Be able to remain calm, collected, and compassionate with emotional charge or difficult conversations. Enbody strong interpersonal skills with the ability to set a good exam, promote a positive work environment, and provide direction/motivation to co-workers. •
Customer Support and Education:
Believe in the quality of care we provide. Know and understand our services and recommendations and be able to clearly convey the value of the services to the clients. •
Multitask:
Be detail oriented with the ability of multitasking as they make good decisions, respond quickly and calmly to crises, while maintaining a high standard of patient care. •
Learning:
Proactively maintain continuing education hours mandated by the state of Oklahoma to maintain certification. Attend desired local meeting/dinners/online course outside for RACE certified hours to obtain constant improvement and job advancement.

Qualifications:
Experience in veterinary medicine Attention to detail. Effective, clear written and verbal communication skills Responsible team player Displays a professional positive manner at all times. Arrives on time ready to work. Effective time management
Physical Qualifications:
Must frequently lift 40 pounds. Must be able to be on feet 9 hours per day. Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently. Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

Full-time or Part-time Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience Employee discount Paid time off Paid parking Uniform allowance Payroll processed twice a month (6th and 21st) via direct deposit.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday Weekend and Holiday based on need, shifts are short. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties or skills required for the position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the veterinary practice.
