Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses. Support dental surgeries while running anesthesia using Vet Trends, doppler, capnography, pulse ox, etc. Maintain detailed medical records, update treatment plans, and communicate effectively with pet owners about care instructions, both in-person and over the phone. Qualifications Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care procedures. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostic efforts. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques with dogs and cats to ensure safe examinations and procedures. Ability to perform animal catheterization accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to educate pet owners on pet care routines like pet grooming or medication administration. A positive attitude combined with a proactive approach to supporting team goals in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
