Experienced Veterinary Technician

About Our Hospital We are a privately-owned animal hospital committed to offering compassionate patient care and customer service. We offer routine preventative care for cats and dogs including exams, routine surgeries and dental procedures. We combine current medical techniques and a realistic approach to pet healthcare to provide the best patient and client experience. Open Position We have a full-time position available for an experienced veterinary technician. The anticipated schedule for this position is 3 weekday shifts working from 8am to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 8am-1pm. Certification is not required. Desired Skills We are looking for a candidate with exceptional technical and communication skills with experience caring for hospitalized patients, specimen collection (phlebotomy, cystocentesis, etc) performing in-house diagnostics, surgical assisting, radiography (traditional and dental) and assisting veterinarian during appointments. We are a paperless hospital so excellent computer skills are a must. Experience with Idexx Cornerstone client management system is a definite bonus. Our ideal candidate would be a great team player and willing to help out in multiple areas of the hospital including reception and kennel duty as needed. We offer only the best customer service so great client relation skills are required. We focus heavily on client education so we need an individual who is comfortable speaking with clients and has knowledge of ongoing preventative healthcare.
