Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care, assist veterinarians during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our veterinary services. Your expertise will help improve the health and well-being of our animal patients while delivering outstanding client service. Duties Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic imaging such as radiology diagnostics and X-ray procedures Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and treatments Conduct laboratory work including phlebotomy, sample collection, and veterinary laboratory testing to support accurate diagnoses Administer medications, vaccinations, and fluids via IV insertion or other routes following aseptic techniques Monitor animals' vital signs and critical & intensive care needs, providing emergency medicine when necessary Operate medical equipment such as anesthesia machines, radiology equipment, and laboratory analyzers with precision Maintain detailed records using veterinary software for patient history, treatments, and diagnostic results Requirements Proven veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy Kennel experience along with dog handling skills for effective animal care and restraint Familiarity with dental terminology and pet grooming practices is a plus Experience in veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, and anesthesia monitoring is highly desirable Ability to perform animal catheterization, vascular access, IV insertion, and animal restraint confidently Strong understanding of laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology techniques Excellent client communication skills to explain treatments and procedures clearly to pet owners Knowledge of veterinary surgical assistance procedures and medical equipment operation is preferred Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
