Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and handling, with a passion for providing high-quality veterinary services. This role requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure the well-being of our patients and support our veterinary staff in delivering exceptional care. Years of experience and knowledge will determine wage rate. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Monitor animal health and behavior, providing critical care when necessary Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Provide education to pet owners regarding pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment Skills Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Animal handling and restraint techniques Veterinary terminology and animal physiology knowledge Experience with kennel operations and animal husbandry practices Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary care Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis Knowledge of veterinary critical care protocols Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques Aseptic technique for surgical procedures Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners Maintain Medical records Digital Radiographs We welcome applicants who are committed to advancing their skills in veterinary medicine while providing compassionate care to animals. $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
