Posted Job Title Temporary Large Animal Veterinary Technician Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Summary The University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center is seeking a temporary Veterinary Technician. The large animal veterinary nurses play a vital role in the patient care team, providing exceptional care for equine patients as well as a variety of other farm animal species. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services in a busy, fast-paced environment where excellent patient care is our top priority. We welcome applicants of all experience levels. Job Description This position is located at our beautiful New Bolton Center campus in Kennett Square, PA. This location is approximately 34 miles outside of Philadelphia, where there is no public transportation. You must have your own transportation. Job Responsibilities This temporary Veterinary Technician will be expected to perform basic patient care treatments and general husbandry duties as needed. Qualifications Seeking a temporary Certified Veterinary Technician with horse handling experience. All candidates must have good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to work well with others. Ability to perform strenuous work and tolerate exposure to weather, chemicals, and allergens required. This temporary position will primarily be evening or night shifts during the summer months. Job Location - City, State Kennett Square, Pennsylvania Department / School School of Veterinary Medicine Pay Range $7.25 - $23.00 Hourly Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
