Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed Monitor animal vital signs and behavior pre- and post-surgery Provide proper restraint techniques for various animal species Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Veterinary technician experience or equivalent training Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology Experience in animal handling, including dog handling and restraint techniques Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to pet care Background in veterinary critical care or emergency situations is a plus Laboratory experience for conducting diagnostic tests is preferred Equine experience is advantageous for those working with larger animals Previous kennel experience is beneficial for understanding animal husbandry practices Skills in pet grooming, dog training, or specialized techniques such as animal catheterization are desirable Join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care for animals.
