Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) to work with a leading Philadelphia academic institution. Responsibilities for the Veterinary Technician include:

• Assist in surgery setup including disinfection and autoclaving of supplies, equipment and rooms
• Maintain Proper record keeping including SOPs, drug usage, and medical records
• Perform Maintenance of surgery O.R.s, procedure rooms and prep areas
• Proper medical waste disposal and final disposition of animals
• Provide support to rodent breeding colonies Qualifications for the Veterinary Technician include:
• A minimum of 1-year veterinary experience within animal research
• Demonstrated proficiency with anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia machines, ventilators/respirators, autoclaves, and surgical tools.
• Technical capabilities with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models
• BS in biology related field required Compensation for the Veterinary Technician include:
