Job Description

Southern Rhode Island Animal Hospital is looking for a passionate Veterinary Technician (Part-Time) to join our team! We are a high-quality practice dedicated to low-stress handling and providing a comfortable experience for both pets and their owners. We are looking for a reliable team player to support our clinic operations.
Surgical Support:
Anesthesia setup, IV catheter placement, Intubation, monitoring, and recovery. Perform Dental Xrays, and assist with Dental scaling and polishing. You will also be responsible for surgical instrument care and autoclave operations.
Clinical Duties:
Assist in exam rooms, Patient history and handling, in-house diagnostic laboratory support, phlebotomy, Xrays catheter placement, stock and organize medical inventory, prepare for the following day's appointments.
Client Communication:
Provide excellent client communication (reporting normal lab results for bloodwork, fecals, and heartworm tests). Talk with pet owners about at-home medication, diet, and care. Maintain clean facilities.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Proficiency in surgery, dentistry, and dental radiology is highly preferred.
Philosophy:
A commitment to gentle handling and low-stress protocols.
Availability:
Flexible for PT.
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
Competitive salary based on experience. Up to $25/hour for CVTs or those with equivalent surgical/dental expertise.
Hours:
