Veterinary Technician

Pinnacle Veterinary Group in Clemson, SC is seeking a LVT or experienced assistant to join our practice. We are an AAHA accredited practice that provides exceptional customer service to our clients and care to our patients and emphasizes the importance of the mental and physical well-being of our staff. We have a fun crew who get along well and are very supportive of each other and a wonderful clientele who are appreciative of us and prefer gold-standard care for their pets. We operate by appointment only between 8:00-6:00 Monday through Friday with appointment lengths being 30-45 minutes each. Anesthetized patients are properly monitored according to AAHA standards including ETCO2. We are looking for a FT employee who has strong communication skills, excellent technical skills, and a desire to practice high quality medicine and provide exceptional service to clients. This includes in-depth client education during appointments and extremely thorough medical record documentation. Candidate must be detail oriented, have good critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently in a fast paced environment. Candidate must also be able to comfortably monitor anesthesia and troubleshoot issues that may arise during anesthetic events. Candidate should have the ability to monitor hospitalized patients, obtain vitals, administer oral and injectable medications, and reliably record information and values into our practice software. Candidate should also have an understanding of veterinary terminology and be capable of writing notes for DVMs during appointments. Experience with exotics/pocket pets a plus but not required. We are a dental-heavy practice and candidate must have experience performing dental radiographs and cleanings. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using a #2 sensor and Progeny software when performing dental radiographs but any LVT/assistant who enjoys and has experience in dentistry will be considered and is encouraged to apply. General Practice experience and knowledge of Avimark EMR is a plus but not a requirement. •Please note that pay rate is dependent upon experience.
