Our team combines traditional veterinary medicine, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), and complementary therapies to provide a truly integrated approach to patient wellness. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in beautiful Johns Island, South Carolina . What You'll Do As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play a critical role in both patient care and client education while helping ensure an exceptional experience from check-in to discharge. Clinical Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, and treatments Obtain and document patient histories Collect vital signs and perform patient assessments Provide confident and compassionate restraint for small animal patients Perform venipuncture and sample collection Assist with laboratory diagnostics and patient monitoring Administer medications and treatments as directed Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Client Communication & Exam Room Support Guide clients through treatment recommendations and care plans Create, review, and discuss estimates with clients Obtain estimate approvals and support treatment plan communication Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment protocols Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term client relationships Surgery & Anesthesia Support Preferred experience includes: Surgical preparation and patient positioning Anesthetic monitoring Surgical assisting Recovery monitoring Don't have extensive surgery experience yet? That's okay. We're happy to train a technician who has already built a strong clinical foundation and is eager to expand their skills in surgery and anesthesia. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Confidence with: Patient restraint Venipuncture Exam room appointments Medical record documentation Client communication Minimum 1+ year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Comfortable working in a fast-paced small animal practice Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive attitude and team-first mindset Passion for delivering exceptional patient care Ability to safely handle and restrain small animal patients. Frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds . Comfortable working around animals, animal dander, cleaning products, and veterinary chemicals. Ability to perform repetitive tasks including venipuncture, patient care, computer work, and medical record documentation. Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
