Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians with clinical procedures, assist pet owners, and ensure the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and positive environment where animals receive top-tier treatment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnoses. Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care routines. Handle animal catheterization, IV placement, and other critical care procedures with precision. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and communicate treatment plans clearly to pet owners. Experience Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience is highly valued. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy enhances your ability to support clinical procedures effectively. Experience in veterinary critical care or emergency settings demonstrates your ability to work under pressure. Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis is preferred. Equine experience or dog training skills are advantageous for working with diverse species or training pets for grooming or handling tasks. Proven veterinary technician experience with knowledge of pet grooming, pet care routines, and X-ray operation is desirable. Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals every day! Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
