Job Description
Meiners Animal Clinic is a small animal and exotics clinic seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician. Our clinic philosophy is "Quality Medicine with a Personal Touch" and we are looking to grow our team with a person who can embody that! We value the relationships we have built with our clients and patients, and in return we have been voted Best of the Black Hills 2022, 2023 and 2024! The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician, as well as have the ability to multi task, prioritize, handle high stress situations, and work both as a team and independently. The candidate should have time management skills, good communication skills, and a friendly positive attitude. Our practice relocated to a brand new facility on West Chicago Street in July of 2019. The clinic has a separate dog and cat entrance, 4 exam rooms, a grieving room, large treatment area, radiology room, pharmacy, surgery suite, pack prep room, and isolation room. It is equipped with digital x-ray and dental imaging, idexx lab stations, oxygen supply lines throughout, multiple anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment and more. Veterinary Technician duties may include but are not limited to: client check in/ checkout triage blood draws urinalysis x-rays in house labwork anesthesia monitoring surgical assisting preforming dental procedures IV catheter placement medication administration patient care animal restraint/handling client education
