Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and veterinary practices, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and various treatments while providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. Duties Assist veterinarians in performing examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples to aid in diagnosis. Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery, ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit. Provide pet grooming services as needed to maintain hygiene and health. Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection. Handle animals safely and effectively to minimize stress for both pets and staff. Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and responding to emergencies. Experience The ideal candidate will have: A background in animal physiology with knowledge of veterinary practices. Experience in pet grooming is a plus. Familiarity with dental terminology related to animal care. Proficiency in animal handling techniques, particularly with dogs. Experience in laboratory settings is preferred but not required. A passion for providing high-quality pet care and a commitment to ongoing professional development in veterinary medicine.
