Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint and aseptic techniques. Perform laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Manage pet care routines such as feeding, grooming, and administering medications while ensuring animal comfort and safety. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, equines, and other small animals with skillful animal husbandry and handling techniques. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document treatments using veterinary terminology accurately. Conduct dental cleanings utilizing knowledge of dental terminology and procedures; perform animal catheterization when necessary. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to assist in imaging procedures; interpret basic radiographs under supervision. Support pet owners with pet care advice, behavioral training tips including dog training techniques, and post-operative instructions. Ensure the clinic environment remains sterile and organized by adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist in emergency critical care situations involving animals requiring immediate veterinary attention. Qualifications Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification from an accredited program. Proven experience working as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary setting with exposure to critical care environments. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology essential for accurate patient assessment. Experience with kennel management, pet grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures including sample collection and analysis; proficiency with X-ray imaging is preferred. Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods; experience with equine care is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating pet owners effectively.
