Job Description

Join our dynamic privately owned veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Your expertise in animal handling, laboratory procedures, and veterinary terminology will help us maintain the highest standards of pet care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your veterinary technician experience while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives. Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring all procedures are performed with precision and compassion Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, including dog handling and animal restraint methods, to facilitate examinations and procedures Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like animal catheterization and sample collection to prevent infections Conduct pet grooming, dental cleanings using dental terminology, and basic animal husbandry to promote overall health and hygiene Take diagnostic radiographs (X-ray) accurately while ensuring animal safety through proper positioning and restraint Support pet owners with pet care advice, including pet grooming tips, feeding instructions, and post-operative care instructions Proven kennel experience with animals of various sizes and temperaments Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Laboratory experience involving sample processing and analysis preferred Ability to perform animal catheterization, restraint, and handle animals confidently during procedures Exotic experience is a plus. Excellent animal handling skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward pets and their owners Certification or previous experience as a veterinary technician is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact the health and happiness of animals.
