Clinic Manager Position Summary This is primarily a cleaning position. Approximately 80% of this role is dedicated to cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and maintaining the clinic. The remaining 20% involves light facilities maintenance and other support duties. Save An Angel is seeking a dependable, hardworking Facilities Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized nonprofit pet wellness and spay/neuter clinic. The cleanliness of our facility directly impacts patient safety, infection control, surgical success, and the overall experience of our clients and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Environmental Cleaning (Approximately 80% of Position) This position spends the majority of each workday cleaning and disinfecting the veterinary clinic.

Thoroughly clean and disinfect surgery kennels every single day Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all clinic areas Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, surgery suite, recovery areas, bathrooms, offices, break room, and common areas Clean animal housing areas after use Empty trash, recycling, and biohazard waste following proper protocols Clean windows, doors, walls, cabinets, counters, and high-touch surfaces Restock paper products, soap, disinfectants, and cleaning supplies Perform routine deep cleaning projects Maintain an organized, professional, and inspection-ready facility at all times Surgical Instrument Processing Clean, inspect, and prepare surgical instruments Assemble surgery packs according to clinic protocols Operate the autoclave to sterilize surgical packs Organize and properly store sterile supplies Maintain sterilization records and quality standards Laundry Services Wash, dry, fold, and organize towels, blankets, surgical drapes, scrubs, and other clinic linens Maintain adequate supplies of clean laundry throughout the day Facilities Maintenance Replace HVAC air filters Replace water filtration cartridges Change water cooler bottles Hang shelves, whiteboards, signs, pictures, dispensers, and equipment Replace light bulbs Assemble furniture and equipment Perform minor facility repairs Help keep outdoor walkways, entrances, and grounds clean and presentable Report maintenance concerns requiring outside vendors Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Janitorial, custodial, facilities, maintenance, veterinary, or healthcare environmental services experience preferred but not required Excellent attention to detail Strong work ethic with the ability to stay productive throughout the shift Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards Physical Requirements This is an active, physically demanding position requiring: Standing and walking for most of the workday Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Pushing and pulling carts and laundry bins Climbing step ladders Repetitive cleaning and scrubbing motions Work Environment Approximately 80% of work is performed indoors and 20% outdoors performing facility maintenance and grounds upkeep. Employees should expect regular exposure to: Dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Fractious, fearful, or aggressive animals Animal feces, urine, vomit, blood, saliva, and other bodily fluids Strong animal odors Cleaning chemicals and disinfectants Biohazardous waste Loud barking and other animal noises Wet or slippery floors Hot, cold, humid, or inclement weather while working outdoors Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required.
